Meister Wood Flooring, Northampton

Here we have a great looking floor, these guys wanted a wood floor but also something hard wearing and durable.  So we advise they take a look at the Lindura range from meister, its made up of a HDF core capable of supporting 930kg m2 and has a .7mm oak veneer finish. Its strength comes from the core, where most engineered wood is a ply core that is made up from soft wood, this resin and wood flour mix is hard, Really Hard !!

Coming in about 30 different finish styles the possibilities are huge, we love this flooring with its 270mm wide plank it looks like nothing else on the market.  Buying German as well you know its built to last!

Have a look at our walk through video !

Mitred Striped carpet, BRACKLEY, NORTHANTS

Mitred striped on this landing were requested by the customer, a great way to keep the flow of the carpet but it doesn't come without its challenges! Usually cutting a carpet across the weft and warp is a big no due to fraying and breaking the structure, this is especially difficult on this occasion as this is a loop pile carpet.  But having done lots and lots of training and being around other top quality installers and instructors gave me the knowledge and confidence to achieve this level of finish.

Above - The total landing length was about 14 meters, it was a huge challenge to get every aspect lined up, centralised and matching as it flowed around the corners.

Right - Bound stair runner in a waterfall style with antique looking stair rods, amazing look.

Statement floor, Statement stairs !

As far as herringbone floors go this was one of the biggest I've personally done, 260 meters squared flowing from room to room without breaks. If you understand the products you can push the limits of what other people think is possible.

Although the floor looks absolutely amazing it is somewhat over shadowed, or complimented by the outstanding stair case below

Hygienic Wall Cladding, Milton Keynes

A disabled woman was having a wet room installed to make her life easier, so we made a good job of cleaning it up and making it waterproof with this PVA hygienic wall cladding system.  It is inherently anti bacterial so mould wont grow, and its an easy clean down surface for easy maintenance.

"beautifully rustic and highly textured... "

I could talk for days about this job, but i think the pictures speak for themselves,  a 200 year old piggery barn freshly converted.  No sporting a beautifully rustic and highly textured floor from Havwoods.

Amazing ....

Flat weave stair runner from Fibre, Rushden

This is my one of my favourite jobs this year, maybe ever.  The flatweave from Fibre is a beautifully crafted carpet, super durable tight loop pile is perfect for a high traffic area like a stair case.

The grey and white really combines well and it seems to be the in colour at the moment, combined with the silver stair rods i've got to admit, it's amazing to look at.
Due to the funny angle of the bottom landing myself and the customer decided that insted of a crooked runner, a fully covered landing would look much better, and we were deffinately right about that.  Stunning.

This was a labour intensive job but I'm not shy, up came the old rotten floor that had been covered for years, Damp prove membrane, Latex screed was applied and the new blocks were installed. Finished with a fine sand and Bona Traffic HD to fully protect the wood for years to come.
Above is the finished floor and right is a before image. Check out our Facebook page for more detailed look at what happened.
